RE: COMPLAINT ON THE INHUMANE AND UNLAWFUL TREATMENT OF FAMILY MEMBERS OF A SUSPECT

TO: THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE (IGP) Cc: THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS (DPP) Dear Sir/Madam, RE: COMPLAINT ON THE INHUMANE AND UNLAWFUL TREATMENT OF FAMILY MEMBERS OF A SUSPECT I write to you with deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding the conduct of officers of the Uganda Police Force in relation to a widely circulating video involving the family members of one Anguyo Moses, a prison warder alleged to have committed a grave murder crime in Kiboga District. While the suspect has reportedly been apprehended and is in lawful custody, it is both disturbing and unacceptable that his family members who are neither suspects nor accused persons are being subjected to treatment that is not only degrading but also devoid of any legal justification. The actions captured in the video clip raise several critical questions about our justice system!
