The Director Finance and Administration - NRM, Hajjat Medina Naham Ojale, has fulfilled her campaign pledge of 10 cows, equivalent to UGX 10 million, to Keri Town Council in Koboko District in recognition of its outstanding support for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni during the 2026 presidential elections. The pledge was delivered through the NRM District Chairman of Koboko and was officially received by the LC III Chairperson of Keri Town Council alongside the NRM Chairperson of the Town Council. The Director made the promise during the 2026 presidential campaign period, when she pledged to reward the sub-county that would register the highest percentage of votes for the NRM and President Museveni. Following the official election results, Keri Town Council emerged as the best-performing local government in Koboko District, earning the recognition and reward.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni today met outgoing and incoming Members of Parliament from the Lango Sub-region at State House, Entebbe, where he congratulated them on the National Resistance Movement (NRM)’s strong electoral performance in the recently concluded general elections. It has become a painful reality in West Nile that true unity among our people often reveals itself only in moments of loss. When a son or daughter of West Nile passes on, the community gathers in large numbers, transcending political divides, religious differences, and even personal grudges. In those moments of mourning, there is solidarity, compassion, and an outpouring of love. But this begs a sobering question, Why do we only come together in death? Why must we wait for the grave before we embrace peace, togetherness, and love? Why is it so difficult for us to show that same unity when our people are alive, striving, and contributing to the growth of our region? Across West Nile, too much energy is wasted on acrimony and unnecessary petty petty rivalries. Leaders spend more time fighting one another than building bridges.
