The Director Finance and Administration - NRM, Hajjat Medina Naham Ojale graced the 2026 Arua City Eid Cup Final as Al Shaam FC triumphed over Najjah FC in a thrilling playoff that drew thousands of enthusiastic spectators and sports lovers.

The 2026 Arua City Eid Cup Final was a vibrant celebration of sport, unity, and community spirit, as Al Shaam FC triumphed over Najjah FC in a thrilling playoff that drew thousands of enthusiastic spectators and sports lovers.

The event was graced by the Director Finance and Administration – NRM, Hajjat Medina Naham Ojale, who presided as the Chief Guest. She was joined by Mr Mungufeni Benard, the CEO of Euro Gold Refinary, who attended as the Guest of Honour.

Speaking to the crowd after the match, the director expressed her deep love for football, noting that in her role as Matron for the West Nile FUFA Drum team, she has witnessed firsthand how sports nurtures talent, inspires youth, and builds discipline.

She emphasized that football is a powerful unifying force that brings people together across communities, and reasserted her promise to wholeheartedly support such initiatives that promote cohesion and talent development in West Nile Sub-Region citing that the Sub-Region has produced footballers who play for the national team.

The director also applauded the people of Arua City for their overwhelming support and for massively voting for the President in the recently concluded elections where the president won with a whooping percentage which was the first of its kind for a quite number of years.

She congratulated Al Shaam FC upon their well-deserved victory and commended Najjah FC for their resilience and sportsmanship throughout the match.

In a generous show of support, she made a humble financial contribution of UGX 1,000,000 to the victorious Al Shaam FC, UGX 800,000 to Najjah FC, and UGX 3,000,000 to the organizing committee, and challenged the organizers of the event to make it bigger next time such that she also rallies her fellow colleagues of the Sub-Region who serve the country at a national level to come along and support such initiatives.
