NRM DIRECTOR FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION, HAJJAT MEDINA CONTRIBUTES 14 MILLION UGX TO LIMA CATHOLIC CHURCH

On Saturday 22nd March 2024, thousands of Catholics and People of Good Will gathered at Lima Catholic Parish, Ludara Sub-County, Koboko District for a grand fundraising event aimed at constructing a new church for the parish. The event, presided over by the Rt. Rev. Bishop Sabino Ocan Odoki of the Arua Diocese, attracted notable dignitaries, well-wishers, and faithful believers committed to supporting the noble cause.

Among the distinguished guests was the DAF (NRM), Hajjat Medina Naham Ojale, who played a key role in extending a special invitation to the Prime Minister of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Robina Nabbanja, as the Chief Guest. The Prime Minister delegated Hon. Min. Dr. Moriku Kaducu, the Woman MP for Moyo District, to represent her at the occasion.

Through Hon. Kaducu, the Prime Minister donated UGX 10 million towards the construction of the church. Additionally, Hon. Moriku Kaducu contributed UGX 1 million along with iron sheets to support the roofing of the new structure.

In demonstration of commitment to faith and community development, Hajjat Medina made a humble and generous contribution of UGX 14 million towards the project.

As a vote of thanks towards her leadership and dedication to the success of the event, the Christian community of Ludara lauded the Director for having played a vital role in mobilizing resources and rallying various dignitaries who generously contributed towards the occasion.

The fundraising event reflected a spirit of togetherness, religious harmony, and the shared vision of building a house of worship that will serve generations to come. Bishop Sabino Ocan Odoki expressed gratitude to all contributors, emphasizing the importance of faith-driven development and urging continued support until the church construction is completed.
