WHEN TWO BROTHERS FIGHT TO DEATH A STRANGER INHERITS THEIR WEALTH!___________________________

Following the recent bizarre that hit our region West Nile that probably is incubating a mega looming regional crisis. Merely two days ago, Atima Lee Jackson came up with a statement informing the people of West Nile about his blockage by the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) ALLAN KAGINA to do consultation about construction and the state of roads in West Nile.

The controversy came after the Ora County(zombo district)lawmaker who also is the chairman west nile parliamentary caucus Hon. Biyika Lawrence Songa phoned the ED of UNRA commanding her not to work with Atima Lee Jackson the arua central division lawmaker on any project concerning West Nile.

Oversight, supervision and follow up is a role every MP is entitled to regardless of the position he or she holds! But Songa took an illegitimate action by the virtue of his position as the chairman of west nile parliamentary caucus to block Jackson from lobbying for his region that probably is a big blander to the region.

The acholi parliamentarians do such things at individual capacities without such arrogant intellects of their chair but still lobby big for the benefit of the entire acholi sub region.

Why such fights in west nile?
Regional whips are appointed by the government chief whip for purposes of shortening the hectic bureaucracy in service delivery and easy follow ups. We were blessed to have one to that effect. The question of whether they are stipulated in the constitution or not is NONSENSE! Bylaws are not part of the law but they help a lot in the local government operations.
LET'S UNITE AS A REGION TO BENEFIT FROM THE NATIONAL CAKE.

WHY WEST NILE NEEDS A UNITED, FORMIDABLE, AND VIBRANT PARLIAMENTARY CAUCAS TO PUSH FOR ITS POLITICAL, SOCIAL & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

By: Anguzu Vincent There is a land in the far northwestern corner of Uganda, a land kissed by the waters of the great Nile, bordered by the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan and its land of the resilient, farmers, traders, the educated and dreamers and its called West Nile! Historically known as the lado enclave. A sub-region of extraordinary cultural richness, geographic strategic importance, and untapped economic potential. Its people are resilient, its soil is fertile, and its spirit is unbreakable. Yet for far too long, West Nile has watched from the periphery as other regions of Uganda have leaped forward economically, politically, socially and institutionally. The time has come to change this narrative. The time has come for the sons and daughters of West Nile seated in the august house/Parliament to rise as one voice, one fist, and one formidable force, Not merely for a political argument but to push for the regions development agenda. West Nile comprises of districts...
